This is a quick introductory post - I'm so excited to be a part of Not Your Father's Pinup Just finished this piece - WIPS and artist related rambles are over at my blog. I'll have more constructive posts further down the track when I don't have a train to catch ehehe :-)
Here is my entry for the pinup thing. I didn't get around to sending it in time, because of other things, it is not as awesome as some of the ones posted. I thought I would share anyways though. The calender looks awesome everyone! Thanks for the invite as well Guido! I am honored to post with you all.
As you can see we ended up going through lulu to publish it, and here's hoping it turns out well!
I have set each calendar to $20, which means that the 'author cut' is $6.01. This entire cut of each calendar will be passed on to Pink Ribbon International, and I'm going to make a page here on the blog so ya'll can keep track and see how well we're doing. :]
If you'd rather have a greater cut go to the charity, or would like to buy a bunch to fundraise in your own town/city, I can bulk order copies (which makes the printing cost of each calendar drop quite a bit), so please contact me to work something out.
Please spread the word and consider buying a copy for yourself! :]
We'll be publishing the calendar through lulu, as they have the easiest and most customizable options for on demand publishing at the lowest cost I could find. It does mean I was a little limited in what I could do with the layout (no overlays over text, for example) as you have to create the calendar via their online editor, but I think I've worked it out well enough that it should still turn out pretty great. I've managed to include every piece in here (minus one that was withdrawn by the author), but obviously some are a bit small, and cropped. I'm very sorry! We had such a great turnout is was impossible to give everyone equal space. I hope that you're all happy with the outcome, though.
Take a look and let me know if you have any thoughts. I'm still working on the cover, so if you have any recommendations, let me know.
Okay, here we go, folks! These are all the pin-up calendar entries that have sent me hi res versions. Many have already been posted on the blog, and some that haven't, which you can find below. Here though is an image of the entries + the requested months.
YOU CAN STILL SEND YOUR ENTRIES. This isn't the cut off, this is just to open up the discussion for what we want where in the calendar. Please note that not all of them are to page specifications (11 x 8.5 inches, horizontal) but that we can format it to fit or place them somewhere else.
So please share your thoughts/ideas. I'd rather this be a group process than just me saying 'okay this is how it's going to be'. So please let me know what you think, where you'd like things to go, and if you have an entry that you'd still like to submit.
Here's the entries you haven't seen yet:
Edit: New images coming in, so I'll give them to you here:
(August) (February) (early fall)
Edit 2: I have a bunch more entries, but don't have the hi res versions for these yet.
